If you're looking to incorporate yoga into your fitness regimen, you've found the perfect spot.
Yoga combines physical poses, controlled breathing, meditation or relaxation focusing on the mind and body.
Practicing yoga can enhance body awareness, flexibility, strength, mobility, and balance. It also encourages a transition into a more relaxed state, which can reduce stress, improve focus, and foster a deeper connection with yourself.
Our top yoga tips:
1. Choose a suitable class or program Yoga doesn't need to feel daunting. Begin with a class led by certified teachers who can answer your questions and help you get familiar with the poses.
2. Choose a non-slip yoga mat so you are able to practice your poses confidently without the risk of slipping by using a non-slip mat. If you don't have a yoga mat, we have some to lend at the studio. Additionally, we have blankets in the studio for extra padding for knees and other joints that may need extra comfort
3. Adjust poses to suit your needs Initially, you might find it challenging to perform each pose fully. Adapt the pose to your comfort level to ease the strain on your body. Your teacher will provide modifications to assist you.
4. Stay Hydrated and eat light before your workoutDrink 16-20 ounces of water before and after your workout to support your body during your yoga workout. Eat a light snack such as nuts, fruits or a healthy sports bar 2–3 hours before class to fuel your workout but avoid discomfort.
At Hello Yoga, we offer yoga classes designed to assist you in reaching your fitness objectives. Check our class schedule for the latest options available.
